Obituary

Alice G. Pearson

Alice Genevieve Pearson was born on September 3, 1918 in Cook the daughter of John Abel and Klara (Erickson) Pearson. She passed away on June 4, 2016 on the site of the original Pearson homestead at the Cook Care Center, coming full circle to the very place of her birth.
Alice lived for many years in the Cook area, Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, and Las Vegas, Nevada. She returned to the Cook area in 2006, where she and her twin sister Violet resided at the Autumn Adult Foster Home. She recently moved to Cook Care Center.
Her life revolved around her extended family. Alice was a very industrious gentle, loving woman. She embroidered, latch-hooked, and crocheted rugs out of baler twine for her many friends and family. Alice enjoyed traveling in her younger years, traveling to Canada as a child and extensively as an adult to Mexico and the western states.
She deeply loved her Lord and Savior and prayed fervently every day for her loved ones. She truly believed, "God is so good. He knows just what we need." Alice was famous for her potato salad. Family members agree that no matter how hard we try, hers is the best.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one sister Emilie Pieper; one brother Arnold Pearson; sisters-in-law, Helen and Ruth Pearson; and one brother-in-law, Gilbert Pieper.

Alice is survived by her brothers, Willard Pearson of Angora and Roy Pearson of North Branch; her twin sister Violet Pearson, who was her roommate at the Cook Care Center; nephews and nieces, Marvin (Peggy) Pearson, Sharon (Kenneth) Elg, Stan (Lynn) Pearson, Dan Pieper, Judy (Dano) Cochran, Joyce (Terry) Cave and David (Bonnie) Pearson; numerous great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. Especially close to Alice were her caregivers of ten years, David and Janis Arola.
