Amy Mae Raati, 53, of Angora, MN passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2020 in the Virginia Hospital.

Amy was born to Charles and Esther (Juntunen) Heinonen-Salas on June 20, 1966 in Superior, WI. Amy attended school in Cook, MN. After high-school, she worked for a time in Minneapolis at a car wash with her future husband Gordon Raati and his cousin Virgil. Amy and Gordon eventually settled in Angora to raise a family. Although their paths led them in different directions, they remained friends. Amy worked at Hill Wood Products and also as a housekeeper at the Vermilion Motel.

Amy was a fun-loving soul who was always friendly and quick to laugh. She was a person who was giving and loved to spend time with her children and family. She was always on the move and her family remembers her lovingly as a "busy little humming bird".

Amy was preceded in death by parents, Charles and Esther; her ex-husband, Gordon Raati; her brother, Duane Heinonen; and many aunts and uncles.

Amy is survived by her 3 children: sons: Jason Raati of Orr, Mn, and Jordan Raati of Virginia, MN; and her daughter Sondra Raati of Orr, MN; brothers: Gary (Paula) Heinonen of Crosby, MN and Mike (Lorrie) Heinonen of Angora, MN; sister Arlene Heinonen of Virginia, MN; grandchildren: Justin, Lillyana, Jayden, Jade, Dominick, and Trinity; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
