Tony Galazen, age 22 of Cook, MN died after a long battle with Juvenile Huntington Disease on September 20, 2021 at the Waterview Pines Nursing Home in Virginia, MN. He was born on January 14, 1999 in Worthington, MN.
Tony was an active participant in soccer and baseball at an early age until his disease prevented him from pursuing sports into high school. Tony loved the Vikings. His favorite players were Adrian Peterson and Percy Harvin, who he met at a "Make a Wish" event. His bedroom was dominated with Viking's posters, clothing and blanket spreads. Tony loved to play his Play Station Madden Football games. Tony always selected the Vikings as the home team where they outscored opponents by more than a hundred points. Tony loved to jump on his trampoline, ride his Honda XR70 motorcycle and his Arctic Cat 440ZL snowmobile. He looked forward to the Cook Timberwolves Snowmobile trail clearing days where he could be the first one to set tracks on the trail.
He is preceded in death by his maternal step grandfather Dan Gallagher, Cook, MN and paternal grandfather David Galazen, Bayfield, WI.
Tony is survived by his mother, Lorrie Lappi of Cook, MN and father, John Galazen of Buyck, MN; sister Ylonnda Galazen of Virginia, MN; maternal grandmother, Charlotte "Dottie" Gallagher of Cook, MN; paternal grandmother, Donna Galazen of Bayfield, WI and maternal grandfather, Bob Lappi of Cook, MN. He leaves behind many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Tony touched the lives of many and will be sadly missed by all.
A Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 16 th 2021, from 12:00PM-1:30PM followed by the Funeral Service at 1:30PM at Mlaker Funeral Home, Cook, MN. Interment will follow at the Cook Cemetery, followed by the luncheon at the Evangelical Covenant Church, Cook, MN. The family wishes people attending the funeral services to wear a mask.
