Barbara J. Lofgren

Barbara Joan Lofgren, age 79, of Cook, passed away Monday January 11, 2016 at Essentia Health – St Mary's Medical Center in Duluth.

Born in Minneapolis on April 4, 1936, Barb lived in Brooklyn Center for 64 years then moved north to the Cook area for her past 15 years. Barb's favorite things to do were to spend time with her family and friends, especially her grandkids, attending mass as often as possible, volunteering at St. Mary's Church and watching (and quoting) The Andy Griffith Show with her kids and grandkids.

She is preceded in death by her two sisters Audrey Huber and Janet Smothers, her two brothers Gary Dolbec and Bud Dolbec and one granddaughter Kathryn Lofgren.

Barb is survived by and her three children; Gayle Gomilak, Chuck (Lorri) Lofgren, and Dan (Kris) Lofgren; five grandchildren, Heather, Kevin, and Mark Gomilak, Cash and Quinn Lofgren; one great granddaughter, Ava Collins; her sister Carolyn (Bob) Andrews; and a host of nieces and nephews and friends.

SERVICES: Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am Saturday, January 16, 2016, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Cook. Fr. Drew Braun will be the celebrant. St. Mary's Funeral Choir will sing with Marjorie Miller providing the accompaniment. Spring interment will be in Hillside Cemetery in Angora.
