Obituary

Beatrice L. Waisanen, 80, of Angora, MN passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2021.

Beatrice was born to Arthur and Laina (Teppo) Rankila in March 24, 1940 in Linden Grove Township. Beatrice attended school in Cook, MN. She was united in marriage to Roger Waisanen on June 27, 1970 in Cook, MN at the Lutheran Church.

Beatrice enjoyed tending to her flowers and gardening. She painstakingly canned all the vegetables from her garden. She loved riding around the country side and seeing the sites with Roger. She would often go with Roger on trapping trips as she loved being in the outdoors. She was a talented farmer who cared for her sheep. She had a lot of knowledge of how to care for the animals so much so that she was her own vet. No matter how hard the work, Beatrice accomplished it; she was never afraid to get out and mend the fences if need be. Beatrice also enjoyed quilting and knitting for her family. Beatrice was very artistic and talented woman, with too many talents to mention; however, one talent her family enjoyed was her fantastic cooking. She always took good care of her family. Beatrice enjoyed the simple things in life such as mowing the lawn or watching boxing on the television with Roger. Beatrice was a woman of strong faith; she was a long-time member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Virginia, MN.

Beatrice was a kind, loving, hard working woman. She had a tremendous amount of love in her heart and she gave that love freely. She was a woman who was filled with wisdom, always had comforting words to give, and was always there to encourage others. As her family stated "you could not find a nicer person".

Beatrice was preceded in death by her parents; her sons: Wendell Rutchasky and Steven Rutchasky; and three infant daughters; brothers: Marcus Rankila and Randy Rankila; brothers-in-law Jack Wien and Neil Nolde, and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Marcia and Dale Boutang.

Beatrice is survived by her loving husband of 50 years Roger Waisanen; daughter Lois (Dudley) Reing; sons: Billy (Patty) Rutchasky and Danny Rutchasky (Marge); brothers: Robert (Sherri) Rankila, and Jerry (Marilyn) Rankila; sisters: Alice Wein, Arlene (Charlie) Joblonsky and Karen Nolde; brother-in-law Jack (Wendy) Waisanen; daughter-in-law Sharon Rutchasky; grandchildren: Steven Reing, Jeremiah Reing, Joshua Rutchasky (Jill), Jolene Gitzlaff (Jamie), Jenny (Matt) Rea, and Antoine Fickas; great-grandchildren: Caleb, Audrey, Libby, Brock, Grayson and Zoey; and numerous nieces and nephews.
