It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bernard Novak.

Born in the small town of Gheen, Minnesota, on October 11, 1934, Bernie grew up surrounded by his family, friends and community in the family store.

Bernie started logging at an early age and enjoyed this work throughout his entire life. His love for nature and the outdoors was a defining aspect of his character, providing him with peace and happiness. He loved and lived in Gheen his entire life, and it was there, in the comfort of his home, that he passed away.

Bernard Novak is survived by his wife of 55 years Barb (Soger), son Shawn, Daughter Michelle (Joe) Manick, Grandchildren Emilee and Joshua Manick, great grandchildren Addy and Tanner Manick. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished in our memories. There will be no services per Bernard's wishes.
