On Thursday morning November 10 2022, Brian C. Bakk of Minneapolis Mn, passed away joyously at the young age of 66. Brian was born February 21 1956, in Oak Park Illinois, to Ralph and Junneth (Ojard) Bakk.

His early years were spent at the Bakk Homestead East of Cook, where he attended Cook school, graduating in 1974. Brian attended First Baptist Church in his younger days and had a good voice and sang in the youth choir at church.  He played basketball for Cook High School.

After a brief stay in California, he returned to southern Minnesota where he met his wife, Jeri Lynn. The two were married May 20 1994, at the family island on lake Vermillion. They remained in Cook where they raised their 4 boys, a nephew, and 3 sons. Brian had numerous jobs and was employed at the DW&P Railway, became an LPN and worked in Mpls at a Nursing home. Brian was a painter by trade and also worked as manager at the IGA in Cook. In 2003 the family moved to the twin cities where Brian stayed until his passing.

He is preceded in death by his father, Ralph in 2001, his mother Junneth in 2009, and his brother David in 2019.

He is survived by his wife, Jeri Lynn Bakk of Minneapolis; his 3 sons, Dylan Bakk of Minneapolis, Taylor and Connor Bakk of Cook; a granddaughter, Addisyn Bakk; sisters, Elizabeth Halik of Mt Iron, and Julie Marconett of Cook; along with several cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Brian will be missed and remembered by many for his special loving heart, and kindness towards everyone.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 9, 2022 at 2:00pm at Mlaker Funeral Home, Cook, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
