Bruce Fred Markwardt "Pinkey", 75, of Orr, Mn passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024, at St. Mary's Hospital, Duluth.

Bruce was born on March 27, 1949, in Detroit Lakes, Mn, to Albert and Hazel (Regevig) Markwardt. He graduated from Orr High School in 1967. He went to Staples Vocational School where he entered the machinist program. He lived in Minneapolis and worked as a machinist for 40 years.

Bruce moved back to Orr to enjoy retirement and spend time in the woods, hunting and fishing. He also spent many hours with his nephews and nieces hunting and fishing. Bruce had a knack for scouting out the best hills for blueberry picking.

Bruce is survived by his siblings: Judy (Tom) Long, Linda (Mike) Vidmar, Paul (Heather) Markwardt, Danny (Carol) Markwardt, and Dean Markwardt; sisters-in-law: Patti Markwardt, Sharon Markwardt, and Kathy Markwardt; and many nieces and nephews.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers: Jack, James, and David.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024, at 1:00pm at the American Legion Hall in Orr, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
