Obituary

Carol Evelyn Abramson, 78, of Orr, MN passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, August 12, 2020.

Carol was born to John and Winnie "Gustie" (Siegel) Kyllonen on January 6, 1942 in Bigfork, MN. Carol grew up and attended school in Bigfork, MN. After high school, she began a job as a waitress in The Orr Café, where she met the love of her life; Forrest Abramson. The couple were united in marriage on October 1, 1960 at the Lutheran Church in Effie, MN. Carol and Forrest started their business together in 1962, Abramson Construction, where she worked as the company secretary until she retired in 1996. Carol and Forrest were a dedicated team in work, and in life. They were just a little over a month shy of their 60 th Wedding Anniversary when Carol passed away.

Carol loved spending time in her flower gardens and picking blueberries. She enjoyed vacationing in warm locations and spending valuable time with her family. She was known as a very caring woman who had unlimited love for her family and friends.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents; her children: Karla Abramson and Mark Abramson; sisters: Patsie Rautiola, Betty Hill, and Jerri Beckman.

Carol is survived by her beloved husband, Forrest Abramson of Orr; Sons: Gary (Ginger) Abramson of Orr; and Kerry Abramson of Orr; Special Niece: Michelle (Victor) Gunderson of Virginia; Grandchildren: Kerrisa (Joel) Anderson of Angora; Kaylee (Isaac) Bergstrom of Duluth; Travis (Bethany) Abramson of Cook; Justin Abramson of Britt; Travis Hooper of Duluth; Garrett Abramson of Duluth; Nick Abramson of Orr; Sister: Judy Keranen of Virginia; and 7 Great Grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at 1:00PM at Mlaker Funeral Home, Cook, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Leiding Cemetery, Orr, MN. Following the burial, the family would like to invite guests to a luncheon in Carol's honor at the Orr American Legion. The Family would like to thank Staff at Carefree Living in Orr. Along with the Doctors and Nurses at Cook Hospital for their care and comfort for Carol during this time.
