Catherine M. Graber

Catherine M. Graber, 80, Orr, passed away at the Cook Nursing Home on Monday, February 16, 2015.

She was born on December 1, 1934, in Bayonne, New Jersey, where she grew up.

At the age of 19, she married George Lehto in New Jersey, while he was in the service. They moved to Orr, where Catherine lived the next 60 years. After George died in 1977, she married John Graber on December 22, 1984 in Hibbing. Catherine was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and the Orr American Legion Auxiliary. She liked fishing and enjoyed hunting, especially partridge hunting. Catherine did volunteer driving in Koochiching and St. Louis Counties through the Arrowhead Transit Service and delivered meals on wheels. Her greatest joy and love was following and supporting her grandchildren and great grandchildren in all of their endeavors. She will be dearly missed by all who came to know her.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, George Lehto (1977) and John Graber (1989), a daughter, Elizabeth Lehto at the age of 3; a brother, John Easer; a sister, Rose Marie Siddell; and a son-in-law, Frank Milan in 1989.

Catherine is survived by her two daughters, Vivian (Larry) Kec of Kabetogama and Marie Milan of Orr; 5 Grandchildren: Georgene (Ron) Pullar, Genevieve (Jerrett Crain) Kec, Adrienne Milan, Crystal (Lauren) Milan and Neil Milan; 3 Great Grandchildren, Casidi and Mason Pullar, and just born, Everett Crain; nieces, nephews, and Catherine's furry companions, Tugger and Doc.
