Cedric Roivanen, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully of natural causes on February 4, 2025, at the age of 82, surrounded by his loving family.

Cedric proudly served in the Air Force, where he demonstrated his dedication and commitment to his country. Shortly after his service, he married the love of his life, Eunice, with whom he shared 50 wonderful years of marriage.

After his military service, Cedric embarked on a long and fulfilling career at US Steel, where he worked for 30 years at Minntac as a Foreman in the Mobile Equipment Shop. His strong work ethic and leadership were admired by all who worked with him.

Cedric had a passion for life and a variety of hobbies that brought him joy. He was known for raising prize canaries and finches, collecting and competing with firearms, thrifting and antiquing, spending countless hours tinkering in his garage, enjoying peaceful fishing trips, and cherishing the companionship of his tiny dogs.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Eunice Roivanen (April 16, 2016).

Cedric is survived by his son, Darren (Julie Strom) Roivanen; his daughter, Laura Roivanen; his granddaughters: Jillian Warzonek, and Hailey (Tom) Becker; and two great-grandchildren: Evelyn and Jack Becker. He is also survived by his most beloved pet, Puppy.

Cedric was a tough man of strong values and will be remembered. He always told it how it was and spoke his mind.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025, from 1-3pm at Mlaker Funeral Home, Cook, MN. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the local Veterans or the VFW, Cook, MN.
