Clifford L. Schulze

Clifford L. Schulze, 85, LindenGroveTownship near Cook, passed away at the Cook Community Nursing Home on Wednesday, February 18, 2015.

He was born Clifford Leroy Schulze on March 8, 1929 at Owen, Wisconsin, the son of Elroy and Freada (Hofmann) Schulze. He moved as a teen to Linden Grove with his family. He served Honorably in the U.S. Army as an MP in New Mexico. After the Army he moved to Minneapolis where he received a certificate in Welding from Dunwoody Institute. Cliff was a talented welder for Chicago, Bridge and Iron and traveled throughout MN, IL, ND, TN, MI, GA, and FL for work. He moved back to Linden Grove in 1986 and married Carol F. Sather in 1988.

Cliff was an expert hunter and enjoyed fishing, gardening and enjoyed going for walks with his pet dogs. He will be sadly missed by family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Reuben and Roy Schulze; and 1 sister, Viola Anderson.

Clifford is survived by his wife, Carol of Hibbing; his son- Donald Schulze of Hibbing, step-son Shane Smith of Hibbing; 1 sister, Janet Boutto of Cook; and nieces and nephews in both MN and WI.

SERVICES: Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday (March 7 ^th ) at the Mlaker Funeral Home in Cook. A gathering of family and friends will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Rev. Arthur Dale will be the officiant. Military honors will be accorded by the combined honor guards of the Cook Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Orr American Legion. A reception in Clifford's honor will be held in the social hall of TrinityLutheranChurch in Cook. Spring interment will be in the WillowValleyTownshipCemetery.
