Curtis Alan Palmer, age 68, passed away unexpectedly early morning January 10, 2023 at Essentia in Duluth, MN.  Curt was born to Arthur and Elsie (Ojanen) Palmer on September 22, 1954 in Cook. Curt attended and graduated from Orr High School in 1973. Shortly after graduating, he began working for DWP (currently CN) railroad, where he stayed for over 30 years. During his free time, Curt enjoyed fishing, taking saunas, feeding birds, video gaming, wildlife photography, four wheeling, and grilling.

Curt is preceded in death by his parents Art and Elsie (Ojanen) Palmer, brother Warren Palmer (in infancy), brother Duane Palmer and sister-in-law Barb Palmer.

Survivors include: daughters Stacy and Jessy Palmer of Orr; stepson Jon Strong of Superior; brother Gary Palmer (Tammy) of Cook; brother Jeffrey Palmer (Meesoon) of Alabama; sister Rebecca Palmer of Chisholm; as well as many cousins. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at 11:00am at Mlaker Funeral Home, Cook, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
