Obituary

Curtis Thompson, 55, Nett Lake, died on Monday December 4,2017 at his home in Nett Lake. He was born in Cook, MN on July 22, 1962.  Curtis grew up and lived most of his life in Nett Lake, he also moved to Grand Portage, MN to be a security guard then later became the Chief of Security and he met his ex-wife Theresa Donnell. Then he started to live in Thief River Falls, also enrolled in Northland Community College and graduated with 2-year degree in Auto Mechanics. He was also a part-time firefighter for Bois Forte Fire Department for many years once he came home. Curtis enjoyed working on cars and making baked goods and watching wrestling & listening to music.

Curtis was preceded in death by his mother and father: Myra and Leonard Thompson Sr of Nett Lake: and one brother Leonard Thompson Jr. of Nett Lake.

Curtis is survived by his two children: Meghan and Quinten Thompson of Red Lake; 3 sisters, Janet Thompson of Nett Lake, Muriel Goggleye of Duluth and Louis Thompson of Virginia; numerous nieces and nephews.

TRADITIONAL SERVICES: A gathering for family and friends starts on Friday December 8 th , 2017 at Nett Lake RTC and Funeral services start on Saturday December 9 th , 2017. The casket bearers were: Quinten and Raymond Thompson, and Vernon and Michael Conner, and Shane Drift, and Chester Graue. The honorary bearers were: his nieces and nephews.
