Darlene Karen Liapis, age 83 of Britt went home to be with the Lord on May 11, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was born in Ely, Mn on November 20, 1940, to Louis and Verna (Lassila) Laitinen. On July 23, 1959, she married William M Liapis in Mt Iron, MN and they resided most of their married life in Britt. She was a member of the Sand Lake Chapel. Darlene was a wonderful cook, a fun, loving mother and grandmother, and she loved her birds and flowers. She is survived by her husband, William, daughters Karen (Lee Saumer) Pariseau and Laurie (Alan) Swanberg, 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael, her parents and siblings. Funeral services will be held at the Sand Lake Chapel in Britt on Saturday, June 8th, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. with visitation being held one hour prior to the service.
