Mack
Aug 27, 1950 — Mar 15, 2026
David Rodger Mack, 75, of Chisholm, MN, passed away on March 15, 2026, at the Care Center in Cook, MN.
David was born on August 27, 1950, in Ashland, Wisconsin, to Vernon and Elizabeth (Plyer) Mack. He graduated from Chisholm High School, where he developed a lifelong love for basketball.
He proudly enlisted in the Army and served his country during the Vietnam War. David was a patriotic man known for his strong opinions and deep love of country.
He was blessed to grow up in a large, close-knit family of six siblings. The extended family, affectionately called the "Mack Pack," remains tight and gathers annually for reunions in Mellen, Wisconsin.
David was a kind and generous soul who gave freely to those in need. One of his simple joys was taking a cruise around the area in any weather, rain or shine.
David is survived by his sister, Mary Leas; daughters Kelli (Theron) Stephens and Taryn Turk; sons, Ryan Owens and Travis Turk; grandsons, Justin, Braedan, and Tycen; sister-in- laws, Judy Mack and Pam Mack. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will miss him greatly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Elizabeth Mack; sisters, Laura Carlson and Marjorie Morinelli; brothers, James Mack and Thomas Mack; and brother-in-laws, Keith Carlson and Kermit Leas.
The family extends a special thank you to the staff at the Cook Care Center and Moments Hospice for their compassionate end of life care.
