Obituary

David Einar Pohto of Alango, MN passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2019.  Davey, as he was well known to his friends and family, was born on July 8, 1941, in Virginia, MN.
He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing in the boundary waters canoe area.
Davey loved animals and had many dogs, cats, horses and various other farm animals including "Buford" his precious guard goose.
Davey served in Vietnam and was released from service with an honorable discharge.  He worked in the woods for many years and retired to his home where he enjoyed socializing with his family and friends over a cup of coffee while watching football.
He is sadly missed by his friends and family.
Davey was preceded in death by his parents Einar and Esther (Ojanen) and his brother Jimmy.
He is survived by his sister Elaine, son Eric, daughter Jodi and grandson Harley.
A gathering of friends and family will be planned for a later date.
