Deidra Margaret Mankus
6/27/97 - 3/10/25

Deidra Margaret Mankus was born on June 27, 1997 to Mark and Gina Mankus of Orr, Minnesota and was the youngest of three children.

"Deeds" as she was known, was a sweet child full of energy with big beautiful brown eyes. Her childhood was filled with memories of good times with cousins and friends. She was a versatile girl enjoying lipsticks and dress up to running through the mud. Deeds was active throughout school with sports and family activities. Through this time spent together, she learned to love the people around her.

This love carried on throughout her life. Deeds had a fun and wild spirit with a contagious hardy laugh. Her energy was top notch and hard to keep up with but if you did, she made it worth it. She was a very loving auntie to her nieces and nephews, ready to hug them at a minutes notice. If she ever gave you a hug, you knew it.

Deeds worked hard to obtain her GED and was so very proud of herself when she was able to achieve that goal. Life was very hard for Deeds at times, but her impact left behind is a family who loved her so very much.

Deidra passed away March 10, 2025 in Hibbing, Minnesota. She is preceded in death by her grandmothers Evie Mankus and Margaret Lamke and grandfather Rollie Lamke.

She is survived by her mother Gina (Chisholm) and her father Mark (Orr) Mankus. Grandfather Leonard (Lucy) Mankus, sister Danielle (Dallas) Johnson and brother Dylan (Kathryn) Mankus. Nephews and nieces Carson, Cyrus, Ava, Layne, Waylon and Blake (mother Katie), the Family Beach Crew and numerous friends.

**Deidra would want anyone seeing someone struggling with addiction to please reach out. She craved to be free but lost her battle way too young.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Mlaker Funeral Home, Cook, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
