Donald "Donnie" Mark Lindgren, 60, of Cook, Minnesota passed away on Monday, March 11, 2019 at his home.

Donnie was born to Wayne and Shirley (Hegg) on Monday, March 2, 1959 in Cook, MN. Donnie grew up, attended school, and lived his life in Cook. Donnie married at an early age and was blessed with two daughters, Jennifer and Sarah. His girls and family were the light of his life and he was further blessed and overjoyed when his grandchildren came along. There wasn't anything he wouldn't do for them.

Donnie met his love and partner in life Paula Lamke in 2005. Paula had a son named Eric, and his blended family enriched his life.

Donnie loved to fish, but he loved it more when Paula, his daughters and grandchildren were able to go with him. He was the best grandpa; anything the grandkids wanted to do, Donnie was right there with them. He pulled them around in the winter on their sleds with 4-wheelers and snowmobiles. In the summer he would join them in baseball, football and badminton games. He also buried an old boat out back which he fashioned into a pirate ship for the kid's adventures.

Donnie was an avid wood worker; fashioning items from diamond willow and constructing bird houses. Some of his best times were spent in the garage tinkering, building, and having coffee with friends.

Donnie was a caring, warm, loving, and sensitive man who was not afraid to show his emotions. He treated everyone equally and enjoyed laughing and making people laugh. He often said "If you can't laugh..stay home". His family cherished him, and he will be dearly missed.

Donnie was preceded in death by his parents; his twin brother Ronnie and his brother Jim.

Donnie is survived by his daughters: Jennifer (Chris) Judas and Sarah (Ray) Bagley; partner in life Paula Lamke and her son Eric (Jodi) Lamke; his grandchildren: Aiden, Harper, Piper, Soren, Alaric and Koltyn; sister Patsy (Steve) Strader; and brother Larry (Debbie) Lindgren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
