In Loving Memory of… Donna L. Bergman

July 16, 1938 - May 7, 2022

Donna Louise (Krambeck) Bergman, 83 of Cook, MN was born on July 16, 1938 in Omaha NE, the daughter of Henry and Thelma (Post) Krambeck. She went to meet her Savior on May 7th, 2022 at the Cook Care Center.

Donna was raised in Springfield, NE on the family farm until 1951 when the family moved to Ash Lake, MN. Donna graduated from Orr High School in 1956. Donna and John Bergman married on the 9th day of September 2000.

Donna was many things to many people. Many remember her working at her parents restaurant resort business Ash Lake Inn, as a Sunday school teacher, a Girl Scout leader or working at Ole's grocery store. She was one of the golf tournament's golf girls and the person who made AshKaNam and Frontier resorts so beautiful with all the lovely flowers she planted and cared for for so many years. Ash River Trail was the one place she enjoyed the most. Donna was a life member of the Cook VFW. She loved fishing, doing crafts and cooking for those she loved. Donna loved her cat Katie, flowers, gardening and hummingbirds. We will know she is with us whenever we see a cardinal.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Thelma Krambeck; her son, Jamie; her daughter, Cathy; her grandson, Andrew; her first husband Butch Nelson; and two brothers, Lauren and Duane "Barney" Krambeck.

She is survived by her husband, John Bergman; her daughters, Susan Archbold and husband, Jeff; Nadine Udovich and husband, Mark; Paula Shermer and partner, Jeremy Henson; son-in-law, Frank Rutchasky; twelve grandchildren; many great and great-great grandchildren and extended family.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held at the Orr American Legion on Sunday, May 22, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Tom Kennebeck officiating.

Donna will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
