Douglas Neiles Frahm, 69, of International Falls, MN died peacefully surrounded by family Oct, 19 2017.

Douglas was born Sept 15, 1948 in International Falls to parents John and Julia (Hoyle) Frahm. He grew up in Ray and lived the remainder of his life in the Falls. He graduated in 1967 from Falls High School. He served in the U.S. Army from March 1968 to March 1970. He served 1 combat tour in Vietnam where he was awarded 2 bronze stars and the Army Commendation Medal.  Doug worked for the Department of Transportation for 42 years making many special friendships until his retirement in 2010. He was united in marriage to the former Bonnie Henrikson on Aug 20, 1971 in Int'l Falls.

Doug was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Post 2948. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, spending time at the hunting shack and working with his close friends, the Bahr brothers, at the farm.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Julia, brother Milton and his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Tom and Judy Brice.

Doug is survived by his wife of 46 years, Bonnie Frahm, sons: Tim (Holly) Henrikson of Ray, MN; Chad (Sharon) Frahm of Bellevue, NE; and daughter: Malisa Vanhale of Int'l Falls, MN; grandchildren Kaylee, Amanda, and Ashlee; great-granddaughter Harper; Brothers: Duane Frahm, Grand Rapids, MN; and Dwight Frahm, Mora, MN; sisters: Diane Hebner, International Falls; and Bev Frahm, California.

A private burial with family and Doug's closest friends will be held November 20, 2017 at 12:00pm at Forest Hill Cemetery, International Falls, MN. A luncheon and gathering will follow at the V.F.W. in International Falls

The family would prefer memorials to be made to Fairview Range Home Care and Hospice, 2716 Crescent Drive Suite 1, Int ' l Falls, MN 56649 .
