Eileen Edith Poczekaj, 79, of Orr, MN passed away on Monday, March 28, 2022. Eileen was born on November 11, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois to Norman and Florence (Kidd) Wulf. Eileen was raised in Chicago, attending Canty Public School and Steinmetz High School, graduating in 1961. Eileen was united in marriage to John Robert Poczekaj on September 22, 1966 at St. Francis of Borgia in Chicago Illinois. She was employed as a title register at a car dealership in Chicago. After retirement, she and John moved to Minnesota.

Eileen loved to volunteer for various causes. She also loved to garden and golf. She was a strong athlete, avid tennis player and marathon runner; she ran a 26-mile marathon in Chicago. She was a private pilot, lifeguard and a member of the Red Hat Society, Garden Club, and Lion's Club. She received a dedication award for her time volunteering at the Cook Hospital Thrift Shop. She was a long-time member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Orr, where she sang in the choir.

Eileen was always willing to help others. She volunteered with an energetic quality. She was a devoted Catholic who loved to travel and was always up for a good adventure. She loved animals, a good party, and recreational shopping with John. John and Eileen had a very special love.

Eileen was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband John; brothers: Leslie Wulf, and Robert Wulf; sister Barbara Wulf; brother-in-law Chuck Sophie; and sister-in-law Ferol Jones.

Eileen is survived by her sister Norma Sophie of Baraboo, WI, godson Alan Woehrle; numerous nieces and nephews; and life-long friends and 2 ^nd family Jack and Carol Woehrle and family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at 11:00am at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Orr, MN.
