Eunice D. Roivanen
Eunice D. Roivanen, 73, Cook, passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2016, at the Solvay Hospice Home in Duluth.
She was born on December 8, 1942, in Watertown, South Dakota,, where she grew up.
Eunice moved and worked in Minneapolis, where she met and married Cedric Roivanen on March 19, 1966. The couple lived in Minneapolis for several years, then settled in Cook. Eunice was active and busy from wallpapering to gathering, collecting and selling
antiques. She raised and bred beautiful gouldain finches, which earned her numerous awards and best of state prizes. She also was an avid reader.
Eunice is survived by her husband of 50 years, Cedric; one son, Daren Charles Roivanen of St. Paul; one daughter, Laura (fiancé Kerry Abramson) Roivanen of Orr; two brothers, Rev. Dr. Marvin Bunde of Tullahoma, TN, and Ronald (Martie) Bunde of St. Cloud, MN; 2 sisters, Jeanette (Dennis) Small of Phillip, SD and Arlis (Myron) Werley of Minneapolis; 2 dear grandchildren, Hailey Rae and Jillian Christine Warzonek; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
