Florence Kathleen Brunner, 86, of Angora, MN, passed away, surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, October 5, 2018, at St. Luke's Hospital, Duluth, MN.

Florence was born to Anthony and Josephine (Kovach) Rauch on January 30, 1932, in Rauch, MN.

Florence was united in marriage to Linus Brunner on June 2, 1956 in St. Bridget's Catholic Church in Greaney, MN.

Florence was a devoted wife and mother. She loved cooking and baking for her family, especially at the holidays. She loved to garden; cultivating flower beds, flower pots and growing vegetables. She was a longtime volunteer at the Cook Senior Center and member of the St. Mary's Catholic council of Women. She also worked at the Vermillion Hotel and other various places cleaning cabins.

Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Her family lovingly remembers her as a caring and selfless person, always worried about everyone else. She was loved and cherished and will be dearly missed.

Florence was preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter Nancy; brothers: Tony Rauch and James Rauch; and sisters: Helen Rauch and Agnes Brunner.

She is survived by her loving husband, Linus Brunner; children: Gwen (Timothy) Towne; Alan (Diane) Brunner; and Jay (Ellie) Brunner; grandchildren: Lee (Crystal) Towne; Kaylee (Ben) Westin; James Brunner; Ashley Sarazine and Niko (Ashley Alto) Sarazine; six great-grandchildren; brothers Tom Rauch and Bob Rauch; brother-in-law Kenny Brunner; sister-in-law Gwili Brunner; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Cook, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the Church. To leave an online condolence visit www.mlakerfuneralhome.com
