Frances "Cisco"
Lee Isham
May 26, 1949 — May 13, 2021
Frances "Cisco" Lee Isham, 71, of Nett Lake Mn passed away on Thursday, May 13, 2021, after a short battle with lung cancer, at Essentia Health Virginia.
Cisco was born on May 26, 1949 in Cass Lake, MN to Ira and Ruth (Connor) Isham. She grew up in Nett Lake, attended Nett Lake School, then Orr High School, graduating in 1967. She furthered her education; attending classes at BSU and FDL Tribal College.
Cisco was an accomplished beader; she was truly an artist. She loved to make a variety of dreamcatchers, earrings and necklaces. She loved spending time with family and friends playing cribbage, smear, tossing horseshoes in the yard, and gambling. She was excited and proud to gain "Voyager" status at Fortune Bay Players Club! In her younger days, she enjoyed playing softball with the Bois Forte Women's softball team, fielding the position of short stop. Cisco was known for her "gift of gab". She was also very well known for her crazy "laugh therapy sessions". She could get the whole room, building or bar laughing. She was a genuinely happy person who was kind to everyone.
Cisco was preceded in death by her parents, Ira and Ruth; life partner, Dan Morrison Jr.; siblings: Barbara Brown, Gloria Isham, Bruce Isham, and Loren Connor; grandchildren: Daniel and Kaelynn.
Frances is survived by her children: Kent Isham; Travis (Teri) Morrison; Nancy Day; Ellen (Greg) Little; siblings: Kristine (Al) Sadewasser and Jeff Isham; grandchildren: Kyle Ryan, Daniel, Jacob, Brianna, Kristina, Kent, K-lib, Dennis, Dacia, Trevor, Sean, Steven, Scott, Shullon, Garrett, Derek, Tyler, Serena, Gabriella, Brittney, Troie, and Braden; many great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
