Frances Christine Novak, 86, of Orr, MN passed away on Wednesday, December 22, 2021.

Frances was born on March 28, 1935 in Virginia, MN to Omar and Ottilie (Lindquist) Hoffer. She grew up and attended school in Orr. She was united in marriage to Martin "Marty" Francis Novak on January 24, 1953 in Virginia, MN. Frances and Martin were lifetime residents of Orr, MN. Frances was a dedicated homemaker and also worked at the school in the kitchen. Sadly, Martin passed away in May of 2005.

Frances enjoyed traveling, yard work and canning. She loved to garden and spent the entire summer toiling in it. In the winter, she loved to spend the long, cold days playing bridge.

Frances was a deeply religious woman and protector of her family. She was a long-time member of the Calvary Lutheran Church in Orr, where she was a choir member and an organist. She was also a long-time member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Frances was preceded in death by her husband Marty; her daughter Frances "Sunny" Lee Novak; and her brother Neil "Skip" Hoffer.

Frances is survived by her sons: John (Debbie) Novak, Mark (Ronette) Novak, and Kent Novak (Elaine Holden); grandchildren: Michael Novak, Andrea Novak, and Ben Novak; great-grandson Landon Novak; and sister Mary Novak.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 18, 2022 at 11:00AM at Calvary Lutheran Church, Orr, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the Church.
