Frank A. "Frankie" Parzyck

Frank Adam "Frankie" Parzyck, 74, of Angora passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at the St. Raphael's Health and Rehabilitation Center in Eveleth.

Frank was born on June 7, 1942 in Virginia, MN the son of Theophil and Mary (Golob) Parzyck.  He was raised in Cook where he graduated from high school in 1960.  He furthered his education attending Dunwoody Institute. He returned back to Cook to work with his father at the Cook Motor Sales. Frank became a heavy equipment operator and a winter logger. He formed his own company,  Parzyck Construction doing what he fondly called "dirt" work. All who knew Frankie agreed that he worked hard and played hard.  In 1993 he married Donna Folkedahl and the couple made their home in Angora. Frank enjoyed fishing and hunting- especially moose hunting.  He and Donna had the good fortune to travel, including four times to Alaska, three times to Hawaii, to the Panama Canal, and wintered in Florida. In retirement he enjoyed his coffee and friends at McDonald's.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Frankie is survived by his wife Donna of Angora, three sisters: Sharon Francis of Eden Prairie, MN, Theresa Frohman of Wouri Township, MN and Margaret (Dan) DuMarce of DePre, WI; one nephew Philip (Samantha) DuMarce; one niece Cindy Frohman, along with numerous cousins, and a host of friends.

SERVICES : A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, June 2, 2017, at the Mlaker Funeral Home in Cook. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6 – 8 PM Thursday and will continue one hour prior to the service.  Rev. Liz Cheney will be the officiant.  A reception in honor of Frank will be held at the Cook Community Center. Burial will be held at the Hillside Cemetery of Angora.
