Frank John Pliml III ,72, passed away in the early morning hours of April 30, 2020 after battling Parkinson's Disease for many years and cancer for the last few.
Frank, affectionately known as Buzz by family and friends, was an avid outdoorsman and native Northern Minnesotan. In his youth Buzz was a recreational runner, holding the mile record at Cook High School for many years. He was a union electrician for more than 40 years living in Minnesota, New York, Colorado and California throughout his career. After retirement he could be seen riding his beloved Harley motorcycle or on the local green of the Vermillion Fairways in the summer and at the poker tables of Fortune Bay in the winter.
Buzz had that easy-way about him with an unrelenting sense of humor. He was friendly with everyone he met and made many friends where ever he was.
He will be missed by his three daughters, Tonia (Joe) of Saylorsburg, PA, Jodi (Steven) of Oceanside, NY and Lindsay (Sunil) of Toronto, Canada, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren along with brothers Richard (Susan) of Burnsville, Minn., Michael (Kris) of Inver Grove Heights, Minn., George (Robin) of Cook, sister Mary Lou (Terry) Germ of Inver Grove Heights, and special cousin Janet McDowell of Duluth Minn., in addition to many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews, friends and confidants. He is preceded in death by his parents Frank II and Vivian, wives Geraldine Polasky and Darlene (Bort) Pliml and brother John and sister Roseanne.
