Glen E. Economy, 59 of Cook Minnesota passed away on August 14, 2022.

He was born July 19, 1963, in Duluth, Minnesota to Norman C. Sr. and MaryAnn (Lilliberg) Economy. He was a 1981 Graduate of Roosevelt High School in Virginia Minnesota. After graduation, Glen enlisted in the United States Army, where he proudly served his country for 20 years. He cherished the time he spent in the Tank Division and retired as a Sargent. Upon retiring from the military, he went to school and became a Millwright and was a member of Steelworkers 2705 and Millwright 1348 where he achieved Journeyman status in both unions. He worked at Hibbing Taconite until his passing.

Glen had a zest for life and lived it to the fullest. He loved fishing, hunting, golfing (2 hole in ones), cooking and countless other activities. He loved sports and was an avid Minnesota fan. One of his favorite pastimes was meeting up with friends at the local watering holes, listening to live bands, heckling a particular musician, and dancing. Glen had an infectious personality, a hearty laugh, he was very honest, kind-hearted, giving and you knew where you stood with him. He will be sadly missed by all.

Glen was preceded in death by his mother, nephew, great nephew, great niece, longtime friends Ed Weir and Jon Pettinelli, and his beloved dogs Ed, Diva and Pearl.

Survivors include his father Norman C. Economy Sr.; his children Patrick Bonham, and Ally Economy; siblings: Mary Elizabeth Dracy (Steve), Norman C. Economy Jr. (Linda Campbell), Jean Black (Douglas), Annette Butala (Keith); dear friends Bob Lasko and Therese Zadra; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and a great- great niece and nephew.

A Celebration of Life to be held on Saturday, August 27, 2022, at 11:00 am at Mlaker Funeral Home, Cook MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.
