Grace L. Isaacson, 70, of Angora passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at the Solvay Hospice House in Duluth, MN. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, many close friends, and her cherished pets.

Grace was born August 20, 1952 in Cook. She grew up at the Nukala family farm in Alango. She was a 1970 graduate of Cook High School. Grace received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work from the Univ. of Minnesota, Duluth, where she met her beloved husband, Colin. She married Colin Isaacson on November 15, 1975 at Cook Baptist Church. She was an employee of St. Louis County for 33 years. During her years with St. Louis County, she held various positions in the social work field, retiring in 2014.

Grace was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Alango where she met many wonderful friends. Her favorite things in life were spending time with her pets and attending music venues when Colin was playing with his band. She also dabbled in music a bit and learned how to play the autoharp. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, enjoying her flowers and gardens around her yard, and frequenting Kunnari's for lunch dates with friends and family. She was very proud of her Scandinavian heritage, and in her earlier years, took numerous Norwegian rosemaling classes and produced several pieces of art. Grace will be remembered for her kind and gentle demeanor, her love for animals and her beloved pets.

Grace was preceded in death by her husband, Colin Isaacson; her parents, Helen (Halverson) and Wilho Nukala; sister, Barbara (Nukala) Hongo; and brother, Leroy Nukala.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 21, 2022 at 2:00PM at St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Alango, Angora MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Alango Cemetery. Online condolences to www.mlakerfuneralhome.com
