Irene Julianne
Doroff
May 17, 1919 — Jun 18, 2019
Irene Julianne Doroff, age 100, entered into eternal rest on June 18, 2019.
Irene was born to George and Teckla (Shoumaker) Bachel on May 17, 1919 in Chokio, Minnesota. Irene grew up and attended school in Waite Park, MN.
Irene was united in marriage to Alexander Raymond (Gorick) Doroff on January 7 th 1936 in Cook, MN. Irene was a fulltime loving mother and housewife who raised 9 children. When the children were older, she gained employment with the Cook Care Center and Hospital as a nurse's aide in the physical therapy department. Even though she still worked full time as a nurse's aide, she was at her husband's side every step of the way and keeping pace with the back-breaking work.
After Alex passed away, Irene worked selflessly to help her community by chauffeuring people in need to various appointments. She kept busy with crocheting, baking and flower gardening around her home. She also embroidered pillowcases and tablecloths. She loved to play cards with her lady friends. Irene was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Church in Cook, MN.
Irene was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband Alex in 1994; brothers: Donald Bachel, Michael Bachel; sisters: Evelyn Funk, Marie Doroff, and Genivene Lenzen.
Irene is survived by her 9 children: Kathy Berline, Robert Doroff, Ramona Grimsley, Rosalee Hudson, Susie Breeden, Valencia Jones, Cynthia Hemsworth, Marlene Marihart, and Jerry Doroff; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
