Jacqueline "Jackie" Elayne Christensen, 73, of Orr, MN, was called home to her Lord on Tuesday, March 13, 2018. Jackie was born to Jacques and Atha (Niehls) Vezina on January 3, 1945 in Cook, MN.

As the daughter of a logger, they frequently moved with the logging camps in Northern Minnesota.  Unbeknown to her at the time, she met her future husband as a child when their fathers worked together in the woods.  Jackie attended grade school in Illinois and Silverdale before graduating from Orr High School.  She married her husband at St. Bridget's Catholic Church in Greaney, MN on August 17 ^th , 1963.  They made their home in Orr, MN where they were blessed with 2 daughters.

She enjoyed cooking, painting, playing games, and sharing giggles with family and friends.  Her jovial personality was contagious.  Her family will always remember her as one very proud mom and grandmother…….a true example of a patient, loving, and nurturing mother, wife, and grandmother.

Jackie was preceded in death by her parents: Jacques and Atha; her brother: Ronald Vezina; and her mother and father-in-law: Albert and Edna Christensen.

She is survived by her loving husband: Arvid Christensen of Orr, MN; daughters: Sherry (Gary Livernash) Christensen of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; Vicky (John) Schwersinske of Bemidji, MN; grandson: Matthew Glaskin (Glowaski); granddaughters: Mariah Schwersinske and Katie Livernash; sister Brenda (Ron) Pocquette of Hibbing, MN; brother: Larry (Leola) Vezina of Togo, MN; 4 nephews and 2 nieces.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Edgewood Vista and Essentia Health of Virginia for all of their loving care to Jackie in her final years.
