Jaqueline Joyce "Jackie" Weum passed away peacefully at the Benedictine Center in Duluth, MN on Thursday, September 28, 2023, with her husband Glen by her side. She was born December 4, 1937 in International Falls, MN.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Glen Weum; children: John (Janell) Weum, Robert (Susan) Weum, and Leigh Ann Weum (Phil Sawin); grandchildren: Nicole (Peter) Louie and David (Rebekah) Weum as well as 7 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents John and Helen Sutliffe; sisters: Helen and Rosella; and a brother John.

Jackie attended Hamline University in St. Paul for a Nursing degree upon her graduation from International Falls High School. She later went back to the University of Minnesota for her Pediatric Nurse Practitioner certificate and Masters in Public Health. She worked in several areas of nursing and when she moved to Cook, MN, she went into Public Health Nursing with St. Louis County, from where she retired in 1997. She loved to learn and she continued in retirement to serve the community through Parish Nursing at Trinity Lutheran Church where she led support groups, centering prayer, as well as offered massage and Healing Touch. She touched many people's lives through her caring and compassionate ways and selfless giving to all those around her.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church on October 28th, 2023 at 11:00am with a luncheon to follow. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
