James "Jim" Frank Obidowski, 77, of Cook. MN passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2022.

Jim was born on August 27, 1945 in Virginia, MN to Frank and Alice (Trygg) Obidowski. Jim attended school in Cook, MN, graduating Cook High School, and then joined the Army. Jim honorably served his country in the United States Army from 1963 to 1966 and then served in the Reserves until 1969. Jim then became a Mason and did Masonry work for most of his life. He loved doing stone work.

Jim enjoyed traveling; he spent 14 winters in the Arizona desert with friends and relatives. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and wood carving. He was a caretaker of Pfeiffer Lake Campground for many years. He enjoyed visiting with the many people he met there. His last years he enjoyed playing cards with his friends and family. Jim was a member of a program of recovery for 41 years. He was a wonderful example of this journey by helping others. His words were "trust God, clean house and help others". Jim was loved by so many and he will be dearly missed.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Alice; wife Shirley Jean Obidowski, and his brother Gary Obidowski.

He is survived by two children.; also survived by his brothers: Richard (Sue) Obidowski, and Art (Linda) Obidowski; special friends Rolene and Jesse Lewis; and close friend Mike Yancy.
