Janet Shirley Boutto, 84, of Cook, MN passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2019, with her loving family by her side.

Janet was born to Elroy and Freada (Hoffman) Schulze on July 12, 1935, in Owen, Wisconsin. Janet was raised and attended school in Owen, WI until 8 ^th grade. Her family then moved to Linden Grove Township where she decided to stay home and help her mother raise her younger brother. She remained with her parents until they moved to Willow Valley Township.

She was united in marriage to Urho Boutto on December 8, 1951. Janet remained in Willow Valley Township, made a home with her husband, and raised three children. Sadly, Urho passed away in 1980.

Janet loved to cook and bake for her family and was well known for her bread baking skills. She loved to provide for her family and would bake 5 loaves of bread a week. She also enjoyed her word search puzzles and watching General Hospital. Janet loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Every year she would take her grandchildren to the St. Louis County Fair and the Effie Rodeo.

Janet will be remembered by her family as a very caring, loving and kindhearted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She will be dearly missed!

Janet was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Urho Boutto; her siblings: Clifford, Viola, Rueben, and Roy; and a nephew Russell.

Janet is survived by her children: John Boutto of Gheen; James (Sandra) Boutto of Cook; and Judy Boutto of Gheen; grandchildren: Rebecca (Mike) Smith, Chad (Jenny) Boutto, Michael Boutto; great-grandchildren: Brandi Boutto, Neiva Smith, and Eli Smith; great-great-grandson Elijah Boutto; and sister-in-law Carol Schulze.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 1, 2019 at 11:00AM at Mlaker Funeral Home, Cook, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. A reception at the VFW will be held immediately after the service. To leave an online condolence visitwww.mlakerfuneralhome.com
