Jenny J. Pauley

Jenny J. Pauley, 87, Orr, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2015, at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth.

She was born Jenny Justina Johnson on April 14, 1928, the daughter of Oscar and Ida (Johnson) Johnson. (Yes, Ida's maiden name was Johnson.) She grew up in Orr, where she graduated from high school. She was married briefly to Jim McKinnon, who died shortly after, and later married Ben Pauley. In 1953, they moved to Arkansas, then to Roberts, Wisconsin in 1956, where they owned and operated a large dairy farm. In 1963 they sold the farm and moved back to Orr, where they were owners/operators of Glendale Inn for 8 years. After selling that business in 1974, they raised Appaloosa horses.
In 1980, they moved their entire family to Wisdom, Montana. All of their children continue to make Montana their home. Jenny moved back to Orr in 2008, and has recently made her home at Carefree Living.
Jenny was a hard worker who enjoyed farming, was an avid gardener and loved her cows and animals. Her children were also her priority.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 1 brother, Elmer Johnson; 1 sister, Olga Holman; a special niece, Betty Lou Norton and special nephew Kenny Norton.

Jenny is survived by 3 sons, Ben (Sandy) Pauley Jr. of Dillon, MT, Wil (Jodi) Pauley of Deer Lodge, MT, and Joe Pauley of Dillon, MT; 10 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild; nieces nephews, including special nieces, Beverly Luce and Sharon McDaniel, special nephew, Russell Holman, and very special great niece, Nanci Brown.

SERVICES: Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Thursday (May 14th) at the Mlaker Funeral Home in Cook, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Rev. Art Dale will be the officiant.
Interment will be in the Leiding Cemetery of Orr.
