Jeremy D. Luecken

Jeremy D. Luecken, 26, Gheen, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Monday, July 4, 2016.

He was born on August 12, 1989, in Virginia, MN, grew up on the Range, and graduated
from Cook High School in 2008. He liked racing cars and drove in Enduro races. Jeremy was a barge operator for Manick's Dock and Recreation. He was a avid outdoorsman, especially enjoying hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling and snowmobiling. He had great friends to spend time with. Jeremy loved time spent at the farm. He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his father Christopher Luecken (2006); his mother, Carol Gallagher (2013); step-father, John Perkovich (2000), grandparents, Merry "Toots" Ongalo (2006), Dan Gallagher (2013) and MaryAnn Luecken (2008).

Jeremy is survived by sisters, Racheal Pierce of Angora and Cassandra "Cassie" Luecken of Virginia; his paternal grandfather, George Luecken of Gheen; nieces, Hailey and Sophia; aunts, Terri O'Gallagher of Cook and Carol (David) Udovich of Gheen; an uncle, Donnie (Becky) Luecken of Britt; cousins, Jessica (Jason Hungerford) McIlvaine, Erica (Aaron) Albertson, Samantha Phillips, Steven (fiancé: Liz) Udovich, Derek Udovich, and Michaela Luecken; along with his pet cat "whiskers" and many, many friends.

SERVICES: Memorial services will be at 1:00 Saturday, July 9th at Mlaker Funeral Home in Cook. There will be a gathering of family and friends from 11 AM until the 1:00 PM service at the funeral home. Rev. Donald Norr will be the officiant. The honorary bearers will be Nick Wooster, Derek Udovich, Steven Udovich, Cody Wooster, Ethan Lindell, Rick Manick, Niles Powers, and Ryan Manick. A reception in Jeremy's honor will be held at the Old Muni immediately after the service. Interment will be in St. Bridget's Cemetery. Arrangements are with Mlaker Funeral Home in Cook.
