Kathy Brown entered her heavenly home of eternal rest and peace on June 9, 2023.

Kathy was born Kathryn Marie to parents Orlando and Verena Eich on August 11, 1945 in Carroll, Iowa. After graduating from Kuemper Catholic High School in Carroll she attended beauty school in Ames, Iowa and received her cosmetology license. She practiced her trade full time for several years and part time for many more years. It was in Ames, IA she met Jerry Brown whom she wedded in 1969. Three children followed – twins Russ and Dan in 1971 and Jason in 1975.

She and her family resided in Burnsville, MN after Jerry finished his college education and military service. In 1981 the family moved to Buyck as owner-operators of Trails End Resort on Echo Lake. The resort was sold in 1998 following the completion of substantial projects that increased her involvement in operations from part-year/part-time to full-year/full-time, and then some. She was the heart and soul of the business. Kathy and Jerry then moved to a home on the Vermilion River in South Buyck.

Kathy's extended family was her life, as was her faith. In retirement she also enjoyed her flowers, vegetable garden, fishing and her fellowship and participation in local Catholic church services and activities.

She is survived by her husband Jerry, sons Russ, Dan (Staci) and Jason (Heidi), five grandchildren, her sister Sharon Kroeger (Arnie), brother Gene Eich (Marlene) and many nephews, nieces and friends. A funeral Mass celebrating Kathy's life is scheduled for Thursday, June 15 at 3:00PM at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Orr with visitation starting a 2:00PM. There will be no local burial-grave side service at this time.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at 3:00pm at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Orr, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. There will be a lunch immediately after the service at the church and a later reception at the Legion Hall in Orr from 5-7pm
