Kenneth Simon Koski, 74, of Cook, MN peacefully passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2020, surrounded by his family. Ken was born to parents Waino and Esther (Fox) Koski on February 25 ^th' 1946. Ken graduated from Cook High School, went on to join the Army serving in Korea. Upon leaving the Army, Ken worked at the arsenal in Minneapolis. He then returned home to Cook and began work at U.S. Steel and later retired from Charter in Hibbing.

Ken married Beverly Potvin in February 1970. They have two daughters: Glenda of Apple Valley, MN; and Teri (Travis) Morrison of Nett Lake, MN; five grandsons: Chris, Trevor, Sean, Steve and Scott; and bonus grandson Matthew. He is survived by sister Janet of Cloquet, sister-in-law Doris of Virginia, and lifelong friend Jerry Snell of Virginia.

Ken was known for his love of the outdoors; hunting, fishing and trapping. He enjoyed many fishing trips with his friends and family. He spent his retirement volunteering with the VFW and hanging flags around town and local cemeteries. He was a proud member of the VFW Honor Guard.

He is preceded in death by his parents Waino and Esther Koski, brother Ronald Koski and sister Lorraine Koski.

A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, October 11, 2020 at 1:00PM. Visitation will be held at 12:00 prior to the service, at Mlaker Funeral Home, Cook, MN, followed by lunch at the VFW in Cook. In Lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to be made to the VFW Honor Guard, Cook, MN Post #1757. Military Honors will be accorded by the Cook VFW Honor Guard Post #1757 and the Orr American Legion Honor Guard Post # 480. Family respectfully requests that the mask mandate be adhered to.
