Larry Theodore Vezina, 83, of Bigfork, MN passed away on Friday August 16th 2024 at the Bigfork Valley Hospital.  Larry was born in Cloquet MN on January 15th, 1941 to Jacques and Atha (Niehls) Vezina.

Larry's early years took place between Silverdale/Rauch, MN and Wilmington, Illinois.  The family always admired how many of Larry's early birthday pictures were taken in a rural logging shack as the family moved from logging job to logging job. The family finally settled on a homestead in the Rauch community.  He graduated highschool in Orr, Mn in 1959.

Larry married the love of his life Leola Chrisman on Dec….1961 in Yorkville, Illinois.  Larry and Leola settled in Togo, MN, where they raised three children Julie, Greg and Sandy.  Larry was a proud independent Logger like his father.  He started at a young age with his father and eventually started his own "Vezina Logging" and retired in 2002 at the age of 61.  Larry loved the rural country and nature.  When he wasn't working in the woods, he was hunting partridge or deer or working in his large garden.

Larry was known for his kindness and generosity and loved by his community.  His greatest joy was his family.  He deeply loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Grandchildren never left his house without being teased and sent home with treats.  His greatest love was Leola with whom he spent 63 wonderful years.

Larry was preceded in death by his father Jacques (Jack), mother Atha, brother Ron, sister Jackie, grandsons Dakota Vezina and Jacques LeBlanc.

Larry is survived by wife Leola, sister Brenda Pocquette, daughter Julie (Jack) LeBlanc, Son Greg (Lesley) Vezina, daughter Sandy (Gino)Anselmo.  Grandchildren Joshua, Jenna, Michael, Gianna, Jordan, Anthony, Joseph, Gabe, Ben, Greg JR, Alliandra, Reese, Axel, Grace, Kayleigh and great grandchildren Connor, Jack, Declan, Nolan, Parker and Zoey.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 23, 2024 at 11:00 am at Mlaker Funeral Home, Cook, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
