Lloyd Elwood Reing

Lloyd Elwood Reing, 88 of Cook passed away on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at the Cook Hospital with his family by his side.

Lloyd was born on April 29, 1933 to Arvid V. and Ethel (Peterson) Reing in Bottineau, North Dakota. He grew up and attended school in Bottineau. After graduation, he attended school for Civil Engineering. Lloyd married Mary Jo Grebenc on July 26, 1954 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Cook. He was enlisted in the Army from 1954 to 1956. Lloyd and Mary Jo moved back to Cook to raise their family. He worked for Hill Wood Products for 37 years. They enjoyed antiquating and restoring furniture with family and friends.

Lloyd enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He always wanted to help with whatever projects he could with them; from building homes, furniture, antique cars or whatever the project.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his wife Mary Jo on February 19, 2013; his parents Arvid and Ethel Reing; brother Elmer Reing.

Lloyd is survived by his three sons and family: David (Dawn) Reing--Melissa (Sam) Grahn, and Emily and Collin; Rebecca (Jason) Lappi and Garrett and Brittin; Daniel (Nancy) Reing--Daniel (Ivette) Reing and Lilyana Jo, and Remington; Mac Reing; Timothy (Lois) Reing--Jeremiah and Steven (Cindy); brother Oliver Reing of Bottineau ND; and brother-in-law David (Judy) Grebenc of Montana; plus, many nieces, nephews and a host of many friends.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021 from 11:00AM to 1:00PM at Mlaker Funeral Home, Cook, MN, followed by the burial and Military Rites at Cook Community Cemetery. To leave an online condolence visit www.mlakerfuneralhome.com
