Lois Ann Trygg, 98, of Cook, MN peacefully passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2023. Lois was born on February 3, 1925 to Peter and Iva (Hakala) Wattunen. In 1930, her family moved to Tower, MN where she attended school and graduated from Tower High School in 1943. She was united in marriage to Clifford H. Trygg on June 14, 1946 in Virginia, MN. Following their marriage, they made a home in rural Cook. Lois was employed with the Cook Coop before retirement, and was a member of the Cook Senior Citizens.

Lois adored spending time with her friends and family. You could often find her at the bingo hall with her friends or playing games with her family. She enjoyed spending time shopping in town or at the casino. Lois's bookshelves were always full of new books and she had a vast collection of knick knacks and figurines. In her later years, she spent time crafting, painting, and completing puzzles.

Lois was preceded in death by her father in 1987 and mother in 1985; her beloved husband Clifford Trygg in 2000; son Timothy in 2022; brothers: Frederic in 1934 and Peter in 1992; and son-in-law Tom McCue in 2000.

Lois is survived by her daughters: Karen (Lee Pontinen) McCue of Eveleth, MN and Harriet (John) Martinez of Surprise, AZ; grandchildren: Fred (Melissa) McCue, Tedd (Kelly) McCue, Scott Trygg, and Tracy (Greg) LaPatka; several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, July 17, 2023 at 2:00pm at Trinity Lutheran Church, Cook, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Online condolences to www.mlakerfuneralhome.com
