Lucille Y. (Nevala) Bush passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2023. Lucy was born in Biwabik, MN on August 26, 1949 to Swante (deceased July 3, 1949) and Hazel Nevala. She was the youngest of four daughters.

Lucy grew up in Angora, MN near her beloved grandparents and uncles. She attended grade school in Alango, graduated from Cook Highschool in 1967 and graduated Washington University with a degree in education and later a degree in nursing. She worked as a nurse for over 30 years.

After retirement, Lucy spent her summers in Minnesota and her winters in Bullhead City, AZ where she spent time golfing and at the casino.

Lucy is survived by her loving partner, Rich Holm; her fur baby Pearl; son Phillip; sisters Kathleen (Leroy), and Marie (Gary); and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Swante, and Hazel and Ernie Siro; sister Marilyn Sixberry; and her loving grandparents.

We want to thank all who showed compassion and care to Lucy through this tough journey. Special thanks to the Cook Care Center for taking care of all of us.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the South Switch in Angora, MN on Saturday October 21, 2023 from 1-3PM.
