Margaret "Marge" Marilyn Rutchasky, 72, of Buyck, MN passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2019 surrounded by her devoted family.

Margaret was born to Stanley and Margaret Ann (Kocher) Kotnik on January 6, 1947 in Eveleth, MN. She graduated from Eveleth High School and Mesabi Community College.  She was united in marriage to William "Bill" Rutchasky on October 9, 1970 in Virginia, MN.

Marge and Bill owned and operated the Portage Inn Supper Club for over 35 years while raising their family.  Marge was well-known for her extraordinary cooking ability, especially for famous Sunday Smorgasbords.  She was a member of the committee that put together the Buyck Centennial book and celebration and authored a column in the local paper called "Buyck Area News by Grandma Marge", a weekly column that we all will dearly miss.  Marge was also involved in the community as an EMT, Buyck Fire Department Volunteer, Clerk for Portage Township, and was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic where she spent countless hours on church activities. She loved reading and football, especially the Vikings. She was a caring, loving wife and mother and was especially devoted to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; two stepsons: Wendell Rutchasky and Steven Rutchasky; brothers: Stanley and John; and Sister Kathleen Trampusch.

Margaret is survived by her loving husband of 49 years; her children: Ronald Rutchasky (April), Pauline Rutchasky (Cory), her stepchildren Billy (Patty) Rutchasky Jr., Daniel Rutchasky (Margie), and Lois (Tim) Reing; grandchildren: Ryan, Logan, Cash, Bayla, Josh, Jolene, Jenny, Steven and Jerry; and numerous great-grandchildren; brothers: Gene (Connie) Kotnik and Donnie (Brenda) Kotnik.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, May 3, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Orr, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
