Marty Nosie 1956-2025
Martha Louise Nosie, 68, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2025, after a brief illness.
She was born on October 8, 1956, in Baker, Oregon to Nick and Syvilla Shermer. She was the middle of nine children. When Marty was still a child, her family moved to Greaney, MN.
Marty attended school in Orr, graduating in 1975. She married Bill Nosie in 1976 and together they lived in Rauch, MN and raised three girls. Marty earned a living in a variety of ways throughout the years. She and Bill farmed and worked in the woods. Marty worked at the Orr School as a custodian/boiler operator, Ryan's Rustic Railings, Coates RV in Williston, ND and Fortune Bay prior to retiring in 2023. Marty was a hard worker; never afraid to get her hands dirty. She instilled that strong work ethic in her daughters.
When asked how she was doing, she would reply "damn good…. damn good".
