Michael Raymond Marquette, 76, of Tower MN passed away peacefully on June 1st, 2026, at home.

Mike was born on July 23rd, 1949, in Los Angeles, California. He was introduced to Lake Vermilion, Cook end, in his 20s by family and he fell in love with the area and spent summers in Minnesota. Mike met the love of his life in Cook MN, his wife and caregiver, Sally Marquette (Auchter). Sally moved with Mike to California until Mike retired in 2008 and they resettled back on Lake Vermilion, Tower end.

Mike graduated college from Purdue University with a Master's in engineering. He spent some time working in that field until he started working in the motion picture industry in Hollywood as a cameraman, where he stayed until retirement.

Mike was a hard worker, a loyal friend and family man. He will be remembered for his lust for life, love for his family and friends, his appreciation for fine food and drink, and he was always down for a good time.

Mike is survived by his wife Sally and daughter Karli; his cherished granddaughter Meika; loving sisters Julie and Laura; and brother Jim.

He is preceded in death by his mother Mona, father Jacques; and brother Ren.

A Celebration of life will be held on a later date, to be announced. Mike's family would like to thank all who have offered their love, prayers, and support during this time.
