Michael "Mike" J. Skraba, 57, of cook, Mn passed away at the Cook Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer, with his family by his side. He was born on December 8, 1965 in Virginia, MN; the son of Dick and Marie Skraba. He grew up in Greaney and attended the Orr School. In the 9th grade, he moved to Pick City ND and graduated from Riverdale High.

In 1984, he enlisted in the Navy. He married Cori Hanson and they had a daughter, Amber Marie. Later he married Ann Aho and they resided in Cook.

He was employed both as a logger and then joined Operating Engineers Local 49 Union.

He was preceded in death by his dad on January 2, 2000; and numerous other family members.

Mike is survived by his wife Ann; his daughter Amber; and three grandchildren: Parker, Gavin, and Weston. Also surviving him is his mother, Marie; brothers: Rick (Rita) and Brad (Renee); sister Karla (Dale); along with nieces: Breanna and Allison; and nephews: Brock and Hayden.

A graveside committal will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at 11:00am at St. Bridget's Cemetery, followed by a luncheon at the VFW in Cook, MN. Online condolences to www.mlakerfuneralhome.com
