Patricia "Pat" M. Lindsey
Patricia M. Lindsey, 71, Cook, passed away on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at the Cook Hospital.
Pat was born on May 20, 1943 in Cook the daughter of Paul and Olga (Ortendahl) Fallos. She was a lifelong resident of the Cook area, attended the Cook Schools and was a member of the Cook Trinity Lutheran Church. She married Gary C. Lindsey on July 29, 1961 in Cook, where they raised their family. She was a dedicated employee of the Cook Hospital where she first worked in the laundry department then later as a dietary aid, retiring from that position in 1999. Pat was also employed at the Cook Co-op Store for many years, where she made many lasting friendships.
Pat and Gary loved to travel especially to warmer weather destinations. Her motto was "the hotter, the better." Her family fondly recalls her love of cruises because they included "sun, water and food". She loved to cook for her family and friends and treasured the times her grandchildren would come over, opening the refrigerator and ask "what's to eat?" Pat also enjoyed fishing when she found the time. The love of her life was the time spent with her family. She will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by 2 brothers, John and James Fallos.
Pat is survived by her husband of 53 years, Gary; 1 son, Gary Lindsey of Cook; 3 daughters, Polly (Richard Sarazin) of Chandler, AZ, Melissa (David) Bauer of Tempe, AZ and Heather (John) Chaulklin of Cook; 2 brothers, Jerry (Barb) Fallos of Gilbert and Kurt (Peggy) Fallos of Nashwauk; 8 grandchildren: Michael Fultz, Lindsay (Ben) Irvin, Matthew, Hannah, and Wyatt Bauer, Janel Fallos, and Ivy and Levi Chaulklin; 4 great-grandchildren: Ben and Cooper Irvin, Gunner Fultz and Kadyn Fallos; along with nieces, nephews and many friends.
SERVICES:
Memorial services were held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Cook. A gathering for family and friends was held one hour prior to the services at the church. Pastor Bruce Hannem was the officiant. Music was provided by Cynthia Hannem. Bearers were: Karen Lind, Carol McCue, Hope Simpson, Ruth McClain, Katie Aune and Trish Aune. The honorary bearers were Pat's grandchildren. A reception in Pat's honor followed in the church social hall. Spring burial will be in the Field Township Cemetery .
