Randy Lee Rankila, 66, of Embarrass, MN, passed away at his home on Thursday, February 22, 2018. Randy was born to Arthur and Laina (Teppo) Rankila on May 23, 1951 in Cook, MN.

Randy was a great storyteller with a wonderful sense of humor. There was nothing he liked better than an interesting conversation with a good friend. He could have an engaging conversation with anyone.  Working on his vehicles and listening to music is what he often did in his free time.  He was passionate about his Finnish heritage and studying his family genealogy.  An avid outdoorsman he felt most at home being out in nature.  He will be missed but not forgotten by all who knew him.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Laina Rankila; and a brother, Marcus Rankila

He is survived by his fiancée Sharon Hawkins; daughters: Richelle Perreault (Bill Cole); Renee (Davin) Isaac; RaeAnn (Jeffery) Scott; Rebecca (Nathan) Warwas; and Katie Anderson; grandchildren: Rebecca Perreault, Autumn Perreault, Connor Green, Lillian Warwas, Alexis Remington, Henry Isaac, Elizabeth Warwas, Ruby Scott, Noah Remington, Louis Isaac, Jacob Warwas; brothers and sisters: Alice Wien, Robert Rankila, Beatrice Waisanen, Gerald Rankila, Arlene Jablonsky, Karen Nolde.
