Richard "Dale" Sabart died unexpectedly in his home in Cook, Mn. on August 6th, 2019.

He was born to William and Mary (Blueth) Sabart on September 25th, 1932 in Grey Eagle, Mn. Dale attended school in Hitterdal, graduating Hitterdal Highschool in 1949. Dale lived in Virginia, Mn. where he was owner operator of Range Paint and Varnish for 55 years.  He was very well known throughout the Iron Range for his excellent paint advice. He was a past member of the Rotary club, Elks Lodge and Knights of Columbus. Dale served in the National Guard in 1952 for three years.

Dale was preceded in death by his beloved wife of almost 60 years: Marjorie (Kleffler) Sabart; six brothers and two sisters.

He is survived by one sister Mary Jane Johnson Virginia; five Children: David Sabart of Cook; Kathy (Larry) Meyer of Destin, Fl; Thomas (On) Sabart, Navarre, Fl; Larry (Annie) of Britt, MN; Linda (Kevin) Haney of Sioux Falls, SD; nine grandchildren: David Sabart, Christopher Sabart, Brittany Sabart, Tedd Petrich, Troy Petrich, Mark Sabart, Katelyn Maki, Julie Williams, and Michael Haney; as well as 3 great grandchildren and one on the way in January. And had numerous nieces and nephews as well.

Join us for a celebration of Dale's life Thursday, August 15th 2019 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Cook, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Dale will be laid to rest with his wife Marge at the Cook Community Cemetery Cook, Mn. Military Honors will be accorded by: Cook VFW Post #1757 Honor Guard & Orr American Legion Post #480 Honor Guard. A reception will follow immediately after the service at the church. All are welcome
